    Basically free games made by Indie developers and downloadable for distribution with their consent. (best i could describe it)

    My favorites so far are:
    Battle for Wesnoth
    The Drunken Paladin (Recommend)
    Ara Fell
    Avarice
    Cave story (Recommend)
    Dhux Scar
    Dwarf Fortress (Recommend but difficult to play)
    Eternal Daughter
    Eversion
    Finalvision
    Iji
    Heros Realm
    La Mulana
    Master of the Wind
    NetHack (Recommend but difficult to play)
    Reconstruction
    Spelunky
    Zangaband
    Elona (Recommend)

    So anybody what would you're favorites/recommended be?

    Great game I started playing a little while ago
    Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

    It's not freeware, but at 10 dollars it might as well be. It's cute, and the humor is great.
